I run my laptop on Balanced battery settings and leave everything the same. My question is to use active or passive cooling when on battery power. My first thought is I want full performance out of my laptop so I should set it to active... but then how much battery life does that reduce when just surfing the web and listening to music...?

So question is.... What do you set your laptop on and how much battery life would I lose by using active cooling all the time.

    Thanks.
