Hey guys, I've been here before a few times to get help with some problems with my m15x and I've returned once again.

I recently dropped my m15x and the LCD is trashed. It has a huge crack in it and only the left 1/5 of the screen works. I've been using an HDMI Cable and my 46" TV for display. I'm not going to lie, I'm getting tired of staring at this TV and having limited mobility because of the cable.

So, I found that I can purchase a reasonable cheap (in my eyes) m15x 15.4inch screen at ScreenTek. I'm pretty sure that this is the screen I have (If someone could double check, that'd be nice, here's my laptop Alienware m15x).

Anyways, time to get to the point. I've had a horrible experience with Alienware Customer Support. It took them longer than a month to get my laptop back to me to just fixed a cracked hinge. So, I'm not sending this in to them. So, what I want to do is purchase this LCD screen and try to install it myself but, I have no real knowledge of installing any hardware on laptops. So, when it comes down to it I need some help. Apart from removing the front bezel, I have no clue on how to remove the plastic part over the middle hinge, or what screwdrivers I need, or anything.

I was hoping that anyone with any sort of know-how for LCD screen could just give me some advice and guide me in the right direction. This really doesn't seem too hard but I don't want to screw things up.

    Thanks,
    Tyler
