Thanks for the pics rifle shot, my apologies for doubting you, if you posted pics off hand, which most people don't, most of this ruckus would not have started.

Have you contacted AW yet? What was their response?

I will be emailing the person who handled my repairs first because he seemed to be the most helpful, and If that doesn't work then I will be calling them in the next few days. My fear is that I heard that other users had to pay for the lcd problem and that it wasn't covered under warranty. Another bad part of my situation is that the earliest I can send it in is over winter break though. I will keep everyone updated on this though.

Again, i'd be hard pressed to purchase an AW if i was attending college just for this type of reason. Its hard to be without a PC/laptop in today's college environment. i guess if i DID buy an AW, i'd buy a cheap 599 dell laptop just to have for notes and papers and work.

lol. not me. i've only owned a used aw desktop, and i bought that just for the case! I've had plenty of friends with AW and sager Laptops though. Rifle-Shot is the Owner of this 15x. i was just making a point about a laptop students depend on at college and the lack of onsite warranty repair.

Well remember that AW still sell onsite warranties. But if your system breaks good luck on getting the repairs you paid for.

AW should stop selling the ONSITE repair warranty. Or at least make it more clear what you are getting and NOT getting.

    Just an update,
I emailed Alienware over a week ago about this issue, and have received ZERO responses so far. This is upsetting because it is exactly what happened last time I had to send the notebook in: they just ignore it. I presented the email in a formal and calm matter asking for any help, and in no way was I rude, so this bothers me as to why they couldn't give any answer at all.

Seriously, PM one of the Reps... AW-James or AW-Armando. I have emailed AW CS multiple times, and three of the main emails I sent were NEVER RECEIVED...

I am so sorry to hear of your suffering this is not good from Alienware, replacing your casing with a second hand they had laying around. That's poor business practice.

    I am totally speechless.

Umm i also have this problems with Alienware my email from my ISP got blocked from AW server for some reasons. I had to call them up all the time costing freaking money.

I thought they went broke and out of business i shat myself because they now holding $8000 of my money.

Just a quick question what would happen to my money if the Australian AW went out of business and had my money? Will the US AW refund my money?

I agree! I own two AW laptops and have thoroughly enjoyed both. When I had some problems with my mALX the AW rep was very helpful. Anytime I have spoken with any reps of AW whether it be a slaes rep or a tech they have been very helpful and very respectful. I also just don't buy this being real, sorry.
