    Alienware m15x is MXM 2 or MXM 3?

    I bought the Alienware m15x in ebay which come with this specs:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4GHz

    RAM: 2GB DDR2 667MHz (4gb Max)

    Storage: 160GBHard Drive

    Optical: DVD burner drive

    Networking: 802.11 a/b/g/n

    Audio: Onboard HD audio

    Screen: 15.4" 1440x900 Resolution

    Case Design: Ripley Case

    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GTX w/ 512MB RAM

    Lighting: Alienware AlienFX Lighting System

    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium

    Keyboard: Illuminated

    Additional: Bluetooth

    Includes: Laptop, battery, AC charger, Recovery DVD and Support CD.

    So my 2 questions are:

    What is its MXM slot type? 2 or 3? Will it work with any of those graphic card:

    the gpu's and the cpu will fit might get a bit hot but it will fit
    but i dont think your 8700m cooler fits on the other gpu's

    But did you really need to ask if they'd fit when the first auction itself states:

    I thought the m15x was MXMIII. All the reading and checking i've done indicates it is. But as others said, your 8700gt heatsink will not fit any other card, you'll need a 8800/9800 heatsink. (I was able to purchase one from Alienware direct)
