Curious if I ordered well:
2.26 CPU
Dual graphics
WUXGA LCD
320 gig 7200rpm hd (I can add a second on my own later easily right?)
Lit keyboard
Draft N wifi
3 gigs of ram
32 bit premium windows
This is primarily for my brother I was going to go 4 gigs of ram and 64 bit but he said 64 bit would give him trouble with games etc. and as far as CPU and memory he doesn't do any intense work he's mostly a gamer and web surfer.
Trying to keep the price low. Also figured all of the stuff I skimped on could be upgraded later.

You may have wanted to go minimalist on the RAM and hard drive, and used those savings to get a faster CPU.
Nice rig though, and congratulations. You can upgrade the CPU later on. -
They are the lowest on the market with the arima W840DI.....

Nice config, and good choice with the WUXGA screen. The hard drive and RAM would have probably been been cheaper to upgrade yourself unless you got a free upgrade somehow.
Congratulations. -
good pick, and i agree with the others, but correct me if i am wrong here...but most games operate just fine under 64bit now as it is no?

Yes. I've been running 64 bit Vista on my M17 since late November. No issues whatsoever. I have games as old as Hydro Thunder up to very current stuff.

yea i havent had any problems with games on 64 bit
the ram and harddrive you coulda saved and went to neweggbut congratz and hope you like it

You didnt mention what warranty you got. I'd say go lower on the ram and HD and get at least a 2 year warranty or 3 Year if possible.
-
to offer a different way to get warranty here....
he can get the one yr to begin with, and then upgrade yr by yr until he reaches the 3 yr limit. the cost is negligable when waiting for the yr to come to an end before getting another vice paying for 2 or 3 up front. -
yeah I plan on upgrading the warranty later. Well my bro didn't want to mess with (nor did he want me) messing with the ram or HD. He felt 3gig was enough and he didnt want 64bit and its primarily his machine, I tried haha. Thanks guys can't wait to get it
