    Hello guys,

Recently, I have just felt in love with the new Alienware m17! Therefore, I really want to buy one. But, when looked at the price I was a little disapointed!
But, everything has changed when I saw this video from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq-6Nnbvo1k&feature=related

In this Video, a guy named phntm5487 had added another Ati HD3870 for about ~~$170. And he could run both with the CrossfireX.

I only knew that we can just replace the Ram, HDD and some little stuffs only. But for now, we can add another Graphic Cards to a laptop which supports CrossfireX (of course). He is my Idol now :D
Does anybody know how to buy, and upgrade this thing ?
    Thanks in advance!

well the m17 features dual GPUs, nothing new about that. of course, the smartest thing to do is to buy both GPUs from AW directly... aftermarket upgrading of this kind of stuff can be risky (slave/master card etc).

Yes, it's better just buying it configured with 2 3870's. However, the 4800 series will be available soon. However, the graphics cards can be upgraded, as well as the CPU, RAM, HD, CD Drive, Screen, etc.

i asked around and they were saying proably 250-300 per card. since the 48xx will come out the 3870's will drop and the 48xx will take the same price .... i unno though just what i've read into AW prolly charge 500 :p
