Okay, I just googled M15x alienware, and came upon this link. I've seen it before, but I thought that I would share it with you guys since your trying to make a general information page. This site has a lot of general information for the two systems, so I guess you can throw the link on both.

So, why u guys estimate the starting price of m15x will be higher than the leaked page? I hope they won't be as high as u guys thought. I want it to be cheaper... obviously.

That was a pretty crappy video quality, I don't know how accurate it is.

I still want one though...lol

 

Tihs is gonna make me cry... I need my laptop! And even more important than that i need real prices and real dimensions... also does anyone know if the extra 6 cell battery is for the M15X only or both because in the video the guy only mentioned it for the M15X. Id have to imagine it is available for both since its the same interface but i just wanted to straighten that out.

 

After watching the video on AW's site, I am quite sure that the reso on those would be 1680 x 1050, judging from the size on the Vista's clock on the right side panel. It could be 1920 x 1200, because it won't be that small if it was 1440 x 900 (or 1280 x 800).

after looking at the tiny tiny single icon on the left hand side, I was thinking it could be 1920 x 1200 too. Damn it but I already know what I want. I want that one. Not 1440 x 900 for sure. It's either 1680 x 1050 or 1920 x 1200.

So, I don't want to sound like a broken record in this thread, but is there no word on WHEN in Q1 these laptops will be ready? Should I be expecting January or March (if we know)?

 

Expect around jan-feb for orders to be taken, production starting around 2011.

EDIT: and also i saw there are two led colors. light blue and red. can we choose which one we want or do we have to order the color from alienware?

 

The lighting is customizable. U don't need to choose between led colors, all u need is to choose the laptop's chassis color paint.

I'm still hoping the stealth black paint will be an option in the new ones... after my X205, I swore I'd never get another shiny/reflect laptop again. I'm not a neat freak, but fingerprints/smudges bother me to no end - especially 'cause they stand out so noticabl on shiny surfaces.

I always felt the need to buff out my laptop anytime I touched it.

 

I really want one of those pillows!
