    Alienware m17x Noob question

    I feel like an idiot. I have my laptop out at my new apt, and my instruction manual is at my house. I can't for the life of me located the cd eject button. where is it?

    Well, you can try right-clicking on the drive in the Computer (the drive listing) and select eject.

    Good luck on finding the button o_O"

    LOL there is no conventional button. Its one of the media touch buttons, located on the upper right of the keyboard. But, at least in my experience so far, you have to be booted to an OS for it to recognize its an eject button.

    That is one of my few complaints about my m17x, no "real" eject button, the other being no analog volume control...

    It's the purple touch-control just above the 'Pause/Break' key.

    Mine does too. Haven't had any problems getting it to work at all. My volume controls and media buttons work in XP and Ubuntu as well.

    Chances are that it might not be purple for everyone! haha but ya thats where it is
