    Hi,
I've got a problem with my m9750, the alien head doesn't turn on anymore when my computer starts.
Is there a button oO ???
Or an option ? In windows vista ? (I don't think so...) In the bios ? (I didn't find anything :/...).
Do you have any idear ?
    Thanks.
EDIT : I wrote to the Alienware support yesterday, but no answer at this moment.

To turn on/off the Alien head, use FN+F10, but it seems to me that the light in the head might be gone. As I recall the laptop always boots with the head turned on.
Anyway, post your results/AW-CS comment (expect 48hours before receiving an reply)
Cheers, hope you get it working again

Oh. Is that how you turn the head on/off? Cool! I never knew that. I'll try that once I get my Alienware back from repair.

The LED's for the alien head are powered directly from the screen inverter.
Try looking there for power take off
You can always buy new LED's they are very cheap.

Cool thanks for the info on the shortcut. I wondered if there was a way to do that.

    Hi all !
    Thanks for your answers !
Yes, to turn on/off your alien head, you just have to press FN + F10, and I didn't know this, as there is no small blue pattern on the keyboard (as the wifi or the bluetooth...).
    It works now =), thanks.
