From a google search I got to know that Dell maunfacture plants in Limerick/Ireland is closed.

Still when I ordered the M11x it got delivered from Limerick and when looking at the package sheet for my M14x it states this:

    Dell Products (Europe) B.V.
    Raheen Industrial Estate,
    Raheen Limerick

Do Dell still have some sort of manufacturing there?
Perhaps not as large scale as it used to be. But I thinking perhaps they recieve complete computers, in various configuration or in a state where they easy can change the configuration.

I'm just speculating, but it would be tremendeous to hear that they still is located and manufacturing computers in Limerick.

All systems come out of China. That is where the factory is.

    I guessed so.

It would have been great if that wasn't the case. I like history, even if 18-19y is relatively short.

But to follow up on that.
Any knowledge on why my M11x was shipped from Limerick?
(Or what kind of operation does Dell still have in Limerick?)

With the m14x I still can not see the pickup location yet. But regarding the M11x delivery it was picked up by Schenker in Limerick according to their tracking page.

Perhaps Dell is using that place as a distribute center. Although that leaves the question that it was a fast delivery (M11x) from order date and then inlcuding manufacture time, delivery time both to Ireland and then onwards to Sweden.

(It raises some question on how it was possible to get the laptop as fast as I did back then. I hope I just didn't get a returned computer.)

The label on the box for both of the R3's I've received say "Computer made in CHINA". Also says made in China on the actual computer. Also, what's NOT made in China anymore? Even tools are made in China.
