    have you checked in AW/FX
check to see if you have a colour next to the name option. if you have then i have no idea what it could be.
are all the other lights working ok.

    Try other colors...
But you might have a wire not properly connected. If that's so, probably will have to send it back.
    Did it ever work?

Ok, Go to Control Centre, AlienFX. Above the areas there should be a check box where you can select All areas to be changed at the same time. Make sure it's checked. Then choose a color and press Apply.
When all the colors change and lit up, if your Alienware doesn't have light, I'm afraid it will have to go back.

Does the 'alienware name' has a shortcut key for on/off lighting like 'keyboard' and 'touch-pad' ?
Dunno what to do ... :((

:( Then I guess that there's not much more to do. Phone Technical support and see what they say. If you have to send it back, try and find more things for them to improve to you (like case noises, screen wobbliness, etc...).

    Sorry again to hear that.

I think you should forget it... It's for sure a busted lamp.
Phone them tomorrow... You'll prob have to send it back. Hopefully won;t take long... Take your time to find other possible problems and make them work on them all.
