Has anyone ever tried to arrange a get together or is it a dumb idea (ie just asking to get mugged...)

Sounds like a good idea to me. No more likely to be mugged than any other meeting with total strangers. But, the safety/risk factor might vary quite a bit based on locale.

It would be cool to have like a NBR LAN Party exclusively for Alienware owners.

I owe Mr. Fox at least one round of drinks (at least!) for all the help he's given me on trouble shooting my rigs. But given how far away everyone is ... it would be a feat to organize to be sure.

Thanks... it's the thought that counts. ;)

Would definitely need to have multiple events and even then there would be too much distance for some. But in some larger metropolitan areas it would be a great idea.

This sounds like a very fun idea. Although, I'm on the east coast so my attendance would be unlikely. :p

Has anyone ever thought about jumping together in a conference call of some sort or organizing an alien invasion in some games?

This sounds like an awesome idea, forming like a get together or a gaming session, just for use abducted users!

I'd be down! haven't been on the forums for the past couple of months, but i second what DVSman said, Mr Fox you have been an indispensable help to me too in regards to my trouble-shooting. If nothing else, at least the amount of knowledge i gained from you about computers alone can speak for itself. Bf3 party anyone? :D

I believe there is an Alienware Steam group. If someone could put it in this thread that would be great.

It's a cool idea but I think there would need to be more going on than just us owning Alienwares.
