Hello, I've got a question
I got my system replaced by Alienware about a year ago and I still have the old product. At first, I lost the label, so I couldn't return the product, then I asked Alienware for a new label, and every time I called they had some sort of issue generating a new label. Long story short, I couldn't return the old computer to them and my account is still on hold and the warranty just expired. They want the old system back and they sent me a label when I called today, but my warranty expired and my new system is extremely faulty. They want me to pay for a new extended warranty (which I wont do) and to send them the old computer which is working better than the replacement. I don't want to send the old computer back and be "computer-less" for two weeks, and then pay for an extended warranty ($369) to get the new computer fixed. My question is: What would happen if I never return the old computer? For example, Would they proceed legally?
Notes: I've had both computers for over a year and nothing has happened.
I don't plan on keeping the old system, I will return it to them. I'm just interested in what would happen if I didn't because I want to know if I can get them to work a better deal for me if I tell them that I wont return the computer (which I will, regardless).
The system is an Alienware M17x R1
If you need more details, I'll gladly provide them

Yes they will come after you legally. You need to return one of the systems to them. Because you did not get a waybill to send one back did not mean you keep both. If the replacement was that faulty how did you keep it a year with out returning it?
If the old system was so faulty how did you keep it a year with out retuning it?
See where this is going, Dell see's it the same way.

I know you're trying to help, but I really need an informed answer, like how could they come after me legally? What statute did I breach? in what terms would a court have jurisdiction over the case? Are there any links for a case where Alienware proceed legally in a case like this? I need an answer with questions like these answered if possible; not just an assumption -

yea that's what I though
I thought maybe someone would know something, it never hurts to try
Thanks anyways.
But yea, I solved everything with aw; I got them to accept the new computer back, and I got them to send me a new replacement at no cost (since my warranty is expired). This thread can be closed
