I think I am a very loyal customer, and also very patience but Alienware is making it to crazy…

From day 1 after delivery, I am missing my Alienware T-shirt and some screw on the bottom, but oke, can happen…
I wrote a e-mail to Rosswell crew and did get some reply, It should be there within a few days, waited for a few weeks nothing yet… so after a month start e-mailing again
From that moment there are no results not 1 answer at all, after 15 e-mails no reply what so ever.

Last week I saw Alienware started to deliver 64 Bit on their M17X so let’s send them a E-mail
How much it cost to upgrade from 32 to 64 bit and upgrade my memory from 4gb to 8gb
And again no answers at all… I am not trying to get it for free !! (I should with 4 gb memory from the factory) but I don’t care to pay for it !!
And I think, I am not the only customer that feel his self screwed by AW because the 4gb is not recognized/used in the system

I have a M17X, but hell it’s not half as fast as my M9750, yes it has a lot more power with games in benchmarks but in real life not..
Things like opening applications, getting my E-mail, is a lot slower on M17X (I have changed my hard disk’s to WD Scorpio black, it has become better, but not like WOW)

My wife wants to have this M17X, so I a m in the market for a new one…I am realy thinking to buy a clevo now..or a white book screw Alienware……..with his M17

SSDs in RAID 0 are pointless. seeing how you're complaining about the bad load times on your m17x, SSDs might however be the way to go ;)

SSd for OS, and then a 7200 RPM for other media..no need for 2 SSDs. :p

It's fallen back a bit, but that's why I did a quick poll to see what other users thought. Yeah, Alienware's service, in particular, is a joke.

Although with whitebook systems you won't get onsite service, you won't get that with Alienware either. ;) So as long as you go into it knowing that you'll need to ship your system to and from the service depot, it's okay. Just make sure to read the appropriate warranty agreement to see who covers shipping, what type of shipping (2-day, ground, etc.), just so that you walk in with full disclosure. Also, feel free to ask them where you're shipping to, so that if it's slower shipping (like ground), you can get a better idea of if ground will take 1 day or 7 days.

Just some advice if you're looking elsewhere. :)
