So I purchased an alienware tactx mouse recently, and noticed that the scroll wheel is loose and wobbly. Can someone with an alienware tactx mouse please verify whether the issue is with the mouse itself, or if I might have gotten a dysfunctional one. Thanks.

Mine is a little bit loose, but not really that bad. I have also taken mine apart to make the cable shorter.

The wheel on my mouse has some sidewards play in it but I simply put that down to the fact that its supposed to have a function when you push it to the left/right....if there was no play, you would have to push quite hard which would be annoying. Also, I dont hear any noise when scrolling.....there is a button underneath to change the scroll mode so maybe thats whats causing noise....have it set on "freewheeling", mine is smooth and quiet.

Probably nothing wrong and i doubt that a replacement would resolve the issue but if you want to pursue that avenue, guess there is no harm in doing so to satisfy yourself.

Mine is not loose. You could well get a mouse with better figment if you decide to return. No need to settle for an issue that could be resolved by raising a complaint.
