Can you get the 5% off on any laptop because it will only let me buy a m17x, should I buy by phone?

I'm assuming the University discount; the site is really buggy, you should order by phone instead.

I can't get the discount to show up. You should get 5% off for the m15x, m17x or the 9750. You can order over the phone to get the discount.

You have to have some sort of school, military email address to get one. I used my military email.

make sure to not buy the outdated and overpriced M17x (rebranded Quanta).

the M17 (re-branded Arima W840 DI) is the better buy.

I recently ordered an m15x via AlienUniversity. Site was buggy so I called and they applied the discount after I gave them a credible university e-mail. It showed up as a 5% Employee Discount. Haha. Hope that helps

just call em and let them know you want the M17. you should try and configure to specs prior to calling. it makes it go smoother.

try again huey...you may have someone that does not want to look into it for you.
they may just be reading the flow chart and not know more.

unless they changed the parameters of the program, as long as you have a valid student ID from a university, as well as email, you can get 5% on any system.

Did I dream this, or can you get 6% off the purchase if you use an X-Box Live Platinum account. I could have sworn I read about that in a review after my notebook had shipped. I looked into it briefly, but gave up when I got the tracking info for my notebook, and the real countdown began.
