I bought my R3 today and the rep for the MDD said they can not ship the M17x to an APO because it is to heavy. They will ship the 11 and 15 but not the 17, Anyone had this problem. They will ship to Alaska but not an APO. SAGER will ship the x7200 which weights double the R3 to my APO why will Alineware not ship it.?

any military out there had a M17x shipped to their APO address reason I ask is because the sales guy had just started on the MDD sales. So, I just want to make sure he is correct they will not ship the M17x to an APO.

I had three alienware systems shipped to my APO when I was in Iraq. M11x R1, M17x R1, and M17x R2. Contact Team Blackhawk on facebook. They will do it for you. Also let them know your in the military and want to go through the EPP for your 10% off discount.

Could you have it shipped to a Conus address (parents, relative, friend)and have them ship it to you?

Check out Ship it APO. It's a lifesaver, and the best friend for contractors and troops overseas. Ship it APO acts as a router - you send your package to them, they route it through the USPS to you. It costs little extra, but in my opinion it's worth it.

When I was in Kyrgyzstan at Manas AB it came in as a lifesaver, and it's how I was able to get my m9750 shipped to me there when there was no other options.

It's a good cause for good people overseas who love their gadgets. =3
