    Hi Guys,

just spoke to Dell, just brought an M18X R2 and the warranty has expired but i would like to renew it. The sales guy said that it can be done, however i would need to speak to technical support first as they need to do a hardware diagnostic over the phone ? has anybody had one of these before, do i need to have my laptop with me prior to ringing ? what exactly do they do a remote log on etc? i don't want to sound like a fool when i ring up, i wont be home until next week !

    thanks :)

Yeah, it's not a big deal. The remote connect thing is really simple... I have done it with them many times. They just want to make an effort to confirm that you are not trying to get out-of-warranty problems fixed on their dime.
