    Wow,where to start.

Almost two months ago I ordered a second 7950GTX for my M9750. A couple weeks later it arrived in the mail. I called tech support to walk me through the installation and it wouldn't post. The support guy figured out that A.W. sent a daughter card when they should have sent a parent card.

He said to send the wrong card back to them along with my heat pipe so they could apply new thermal compound. I was told that it would be two days shipping both ways and a two day turn around time for 6 business days total.

No problem. Two weeks go by without a word so I call support and I'm told the cards are on backorder and they have no idea when they'll arrive.

So I don't want to be without my computer that long so I ask for a refund on the card and for them to send me my heat pipe back. They said allow us "a few days" to process this request".

No problem. It's now been several weeks later and numerous e-mails and support calls of them telling me they are sorry and "we are doing everything possible to expidite the refund on your credit card and the return of your heat pipe.

I still haven't had the charges reversed on my credit card but I did recieve the heat pipe in the mail. The wrong one!

I have been given several dates when these two things would be corrected and still nothing

When it's time for them to take your money from your credit card they are very eager and efficient.

I've got a very expensive paperweight.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will activley inform prospective buyers to beware of Alienware.

Congradulations to all those who have had positive experiences with A.W.

My experience has been a nightmare. :(

I just got off the phone with a support supervisor (the third time in two weeks) who said he will review my case and check into it. He said he'll call me next week. Twice before I was given a callback by a supervisor, been given dates when this would be corrected, and still nothing has happened. I don't know what country or what temp agency they get their agents from but I really expected better.

    Thanks guys,
I just pm'ed Armando with my info and will cross my fingers.

I've been without my "lappy" for about two months now.

There were those on this board that advised getting my laptop the way I wanted it right out of the gate and I should have listened.

I had my SSD's installed for only a couple days before all this started and I'm anxious to do some testing.

    Thanks for your support guys,

    Rob 41

I was going to make a 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' joke, but I didn't.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, I hope it improves for you.

There is no difference between the parent and daughter 7950gtx cards-they are interchangeable.
