Hi i wanted to know if what is like the average of each battery for this laptop i know that it might not be the sampe because of the specs or the use of it, but i would like mostly the average for the 6 cell because i saw in other reviews like from driverheaven that it came up for about 1 hour on gaming with the 9 cell so thats very little i can't imagine how long it would last with a 6 cell, so kinda having second thought on the 6 cell battery that i ordered... anybody help? :) thank you

You shouldn't really play these beasts on battery anyway. I'm not sure of the exact time differences between the batteries but I can imagine it's like comparing dirt and gravel.. either way its both crud. Keep that baby plugged in and give it the power it deserves lol..

You shouldn't be gaming on battery. Usually in gaming laptops the battery can't even supply the full power the laptop needs for top performance so you won't be gaming well anyway.

But yea, go for the 9 cell, definetely.

EDIT: Well, I say that, but the power's just blown while I was playing Modern Warfare 2 and it didn't slow down at all. o.o Weird.

But to give you an idea, my 12 cell battery will last 1:20 while playing MW2 at its estimate, or about 50 minutes on full load. While I do have two graphics cards I also have a bigger battery.

I have the 9 cell, I don' play games on battery power, just do some onsite photochopping for clients. I haven't used it to the point of draining the whole battery, The most I have run on battery power in around 90 mins.

the 9 cell is also nice cause it props up the back up the back of the laptop, and makes it much much better to use...

Alright... returned my 2 defective laptops and I have a new one on the way.

For my inconvenience, dell gave me 150 off this new order + rush processing and free overnight delivery.

I have the same specs coming, except I upgraded to the 256 solid state and the blu ray reader....w00t!

I got the 6 cell battery and when I'm not gaming my battery lasts like 1:20 - 1:35.
I bet if I start gaming on battery it would probably last very little.
