On the Alienware control center or whatever when I click on the Touch portion it doesn't even do anything, unlike when I hit Fusion or Sense, etc.

Anyone know a way around this, I find myself screwing up my typing cuz my hand hits the touchpad and the cursor goes somewhere else.

Sorry for the noob question but I'm really just fed up with it, hopefully someone else will benefit from this, too.

I think there is an option to disable the touchpad when the mouse is connected by using the Synaptics interface.

I would also try uninstalling your AlienFX and reinstalling it if its not allowing you to make changes to touchpad options.

its only does it automatically if you have the dell synaptics driver, otherwise you will have to manual turn it on and off.

reinstall command center.. I had the some problem. I updated to the command center used for the M17x R2.. There is an option in touchsense that says "disable touchpad when an external mouse is connected"...

You can access that directly in the synap driver setting. You can access that by entering settings down by the clock. I never use the command center software to access that.

You can use either the fn key or the automated option in the driver itself.

Like above. Right-click the Touchpad icon on the taskbar next to the clock > Pointing Device Properties > Device Settings, and check "Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached."
