Am I going to look like a dork with m15x in the college classroom?

When is the review for the m17x coming out? I'm interested in seeing it.

 

I'm evaluating the notebook this week, the review should be up sometime next week.

 

Hey chaz, I get a little nervous now everytime I see you post. I look to see if the thread got closed.

I think the m15 does have a more professional look than the skull, but I think it would look alot more professional if it didn't have that head, and yes, the mere fact that were all here and have hundreds of posts under us, that alone = geek. haha

 

+1 (Honestly I hate the design but at the time I was 14 so that's why I originally bought one).

Haha it was a summer course that was on a college campus. I did directing but there was photo... dance... acting. Fun as **** when people don't know your background so you can kinda act like someone else.

@OP - So from those pics I'm going to advise you to go against the M15x.

I suppose, if you look like and play the part of a dork you'll look like one if you slam this baby out in class..

But if you look like no one will mess with you, and you have respect amongst your peers, I think people will be pretty d**m impressed.

It all depends how judgemental people are in your college. At the end of the day I couldn't give a rats a** what people think.. I earned this laptop, and yes its mine. Got a question, or a query I'll be more than happy to answer it. But if your just going to sit behind me and take the p***... Two words.

I carry my 17 inch XPS 1730 with me too school all the time.Turn off the lights and you`ll be fine.

 

I have the skullcap...and everyone thinks its awesome, not geeky. But then again I go to a technical college where every major is either gaming or computer related so everyone there is into geeky stuff.

 

i bring my 26 lb system around and people are shocked at it and than they seeit randomly crash and they are like what the hell.
I also go to a tech school, and surprisingly in the 2yrs I have been at rpi, i have not found one person who I can talk at on my level with computers. Its kind of ridiculous, cause the people in the computer repair center actually come on nbr to fix problems, cause they have no idea how to fix things.
Anyways, i feel it could be a little strange but the only thing really to worry about is one of your classmates touching it or scrtaching it.

And now with the new Macbook pro's design with the black key board. People might think it is an Apple, just double the thickness. If you look at a macbook and the M15X they do look very similar. Just turn the lights to white or off. I guess in a sea full of Leveno's, HP, and Dells it can be a looker.
