If I ask them they might not agree to it but they have done it my way :D
They have recompiled the parts of Command Center which were earlier running as 'ANY CPU' mode and being loaded as 64bit on x64 systems. Now they have forced compiled them into 32bit binaries rather then platform independent.

This has an advantage in our scenario, since AW components uses AlienHook.dll (now called alienhook32.dll) which is 32bit only and was not able to load properly in earlier versions due to architecture mismatch. Compiling them to 32bit made that available in 64bit as well, since windows can emulate 32bit perfectly.

So as of now after little patching, very little. Just one EXE (AlienwareAlienFXController.exe) it works great even on 64bit :)

I am testing it now since AlienSense has some issues, it says 'License key not valid' - rest is fine.

One more thing... Has anyone noticed the AlienFX SDK (Again copied my idea :))

    C:\Program Files\Alienware\Command Center\SDK
has a DLL called LightFX.dll (both managed and unmanaged) with code samples....

I feel so proud to made them think again... :D

Keep your ears and eyes opened as I will soon update my GUIDE for New Command Center...

findvikas, I bet you're disappointing a lot of people with the title of your thread. From following the AW forum, I thought most people were waiting to hear about a black m15x or a smoking hot new NB from AW. LOL

LOL... this is more exciting news for x64 users :p as they cannot upgrade to the Black m15x instantly. Yeah I know I waited for quite a long time for Black m15x then finally took silver.. which is still better.
