It seems that I was the first one to report the stuttering problem of Quad processor in the forum.
see my previous thread:

After countless while useless attemps on my own, I finally decided to send the laptop back to AW's EMEA repair depot (with all the cost of freight from China to Ireland on my own, 'cause I am an EMEA customer...). One month later, it came back, with a replaced CPU, yet nothing fixed.
However, last week I accidentally left the back lid open while testing ETW on the computer, and the problem seemed to disappeared itself. I then suspected that it was a heating problem in essence.
So I bought a tube of thermal grease (over-charged for 2RMB, about 0.29USD) from a little computer repair shop, and applied some of them on my CPU. Miracally, everything solved...
Ironic...
I am glad to see that AW has finnally found out a proper way to solve the problem. I will definitely try the install and re-install stuff at once.

Well. I have same problem too. but where i can find those tube of thermal grease? In little computer shop ? what is that?
-
Just go to Newegg or google thermal paste and you'll have more info than you can digest.
-
So the problem really was a heating issue? I have the exact same problem, however I have sent it back to them, got it back on Friday and the problem is still here. However I don't think 2 of the areas I used it in where well ventilated. I did run Crysis in an open space on my kitchen table and it was perfect, only had problems with DX10. So this thermal grease worked? I suppose I'm lucky in a sense, I live in Ireland, still took 15 day to repair though!

New thermal grease will lower your temps by a few degrees, but it is by no means a cure-all.
Thermal grease paired with a decent laptop cooler is a great idea, and don't forget that ambient temperatures make a big difference too. The cooler you can keep your laptop, the longer it will last.
You may already know this, but if you right-click on the Crysis icon in your GAMES folder, you can run it in DX9. It's not as visually stimulating, but the difference is negligible. Plus you'll gain a few frames per second. -
Cheers thanks! I am convinced for myself it is a heat issue. Where my laptop is at the moment the ventilation is awful, but it runs fine for music and internet. Not heavy 3D games, running it in a much cooler area and surface, with nothing blocking the vents, it ran like a gem.
The only thing that worries me is that I bought it for DJing because I essentially wanted extreme performance. I'm just worried it will overheat and shutter when I'm playing live! -

The stuttering problem is far and wide...I even experience it now and again. There's not a fix that I'm aware of.
-
Hmm it sadly seems that way. Good news for me though is that I just ran a demo of the DJ software I will get and even in this poorly ventilated area, it ran perfectly. Haha even with the 'cruise control' DJing feature!

In a way, thermal paste helps.
