Any chance of an Alienware Netbook in the future?

Since the Nvidia ion should be out... well, dunno when I haven't seen any in the UK, but soon, I wonder if Alienware would release a netbook out with their current lines. I am loving the idea of a 10 or so inch Alienware (styled) Netbook next to a m17x! :D

For those "older" people that's been with alienware for a while, you will remember that they used to have a 12inch Alienware laptop (yes! complete with skullcap and everything!) that was aimed at business users. In general the features were a powerful CPU, onboard graphics (this was in the 2004 era!) and a somewhat long battery life.

I so wish for them to come back :(

EDIT: My bad I did a search for netbook initially and it came up with no results, but searching 12inch or something similar resulted me in a survey alienware did.

    Sorry people.

since Dell has taken ownership of Alienware, it has improved a great deal. So the possibility is endless which of course is dictated by appeal and demand from the consumers.

Yeh. Although I hope it doesn't swing in the Adamo direction, as nice as those machines are, way too expensive :/

Or they make 2! A cheapo one (for 99% of us) and 1 made out of gold or similar materials for the other 1%.

An Alienware netbook is an oxymoron, since netbooks are supposed to be very cheap notebooks.

Possibly, when GPGPUs replace the GPU.

AW had a survey up for a possible sub-12 inch notebook so it's a good possibility. Hopefully it won't be a Atom based netbook but a CULV based UMPC.

If times were better I'd say Dell should look into producing a PSP-type device and even a gaming console under the Alienware brand.

LOL yeah it does sound like an oxymoron, but....a "high-end" netbook that's good on features and battery life and has the AW theme, well, I would seriously consider it to go along with my M17x. I am in the market for an ultraportable just for the convenience.

I'd use that machine as something to pull out at the airport (or wherever I am waiting around) and access the wifi to stay in touch, or watch movies on an airplane. The M17x gets used when I'm stuck in a long layover, or at the hotel, or at home.

Yeh, exactly what I had in mind with lordqarlyn. Not only are the machines matching in look, but allows for different utlity. Typically, everything but gaming on the little one, and gaming on the big one, or long haul trips.
