    Hi,

I've been using my alienware for about 7-8 months.. And its not even a year and i've faces a lot of problems with the graphic cards, system, motherboard.. And the dell technician came to my house for about 4-5 times just to fix these issues within the whole period of 8 months.. Dell technician have change my graphic card about 2 times already... So u can imagine how many assemble and dissemble to my m15x system they have done, and i can't barely watch my system in that kind of condition that they (M15x) are facing.. Bought it for $4000 singapore dollars.. And i dun expect this kind of quality for a $4000 system.. Is there any chance that i could change to a new system and also changing to a ATI 5850m? Appreciate for your advise..

Anyways, i bought the complete cover warranty for 2 years..

I personally would have requested a new system after the third opening of it. Four parts swaps is the most. I wouldn't take no for an answer especially with the money you have invested. Call them and ask to speak with a manager right off the bat. Make sure you have documented proof of more than three part swaps or you might get a hassle. Be sure to tell them about the graphics problems you've been having with the nvidia card and that you would prefer the ATI because everyone else seems to have no problems with it.

That is way to many times for it to be inspected/repaired by a technician within that amount of time.

Like others have mentioned, make sure you have documented receipts and invoices for when they visited. Call Dell and tell them you need a replacement. I believe in some states/countries have "Lemon Laws" in which if the machine has X number of repairs it's eligible for a complete exchange of the product. I would look into that to help your chances of getting a resolution.

mine is under the 21 day return period and i was stern about what i wanted and i demanded a brand new system built. I am only like 10 days into it and had some issues with the dvd drive and battery and dead pixel. The wanted to send a tech and i told them flat out NO...this is a refurbished system and should have been taken care of at the factory i am not gonna let any dell tech step foot in my house nor am i shipping this laptop to get repaired. After talking to the supervisor they will be building a new m15x and shipping it to me in exchange of my faulty refurbished system. I think you easily deserve a new system and need to speak to the manager or send you case to michael dell the CEO look up the info in the alienware forum and his email and someone from his team obviously not Michael Dell himself will contact you and set you up. You might get lucky and have Chuck Norris call you he is on Michael Dells team as well....JK

If you want evidence of repairs. on the order support pages on dell website there is a link for repair history. Every time you open up a case file it will be logged there.

I did this when my xps m1710 kept failing on me. After 6 times of repair and every componant been replace apart from chassis, I thought that was it and said no repair and they exchange for m17x + few more $$ for upgrades.

    Just Be firm with them.
