I'm personally hoping to see a new 15 incher when this whole "all powerful" line is unveiled. The m15x is outdated and fraught with problems, but I need a nice powerful 15" to upgrade to. Anyone else feel this way?
-
If you want a nice powerful 15", look at the NP8662. I'd rather see a 17"+ because well, it's just more exciting >.>
-
if there is a m15x refresh.... I hope that the build quality and design is overhauled.
-
we all hope that
lol
i am sure since the m15x is still up there that something is coming .... the ALX series proably will get resfreshed
think about it both are made by Quanta and exclusive, i wouldn't see why they wouldn't but im just throwin Poo here -
Sure we may get a new 15 incher from AW, always expect the unexpected from them.
I agree on 15" being the Ideal size for a laptop, I have both a 15'' and 17" gaming laptop and when I hit the road (which is most of the time) the 15" always comes with me.
But this new "All powerful" laptop certainly intrigues me, AW did a great job in advertising it as "All powerful" as you can see as in how fast the AW section has blown up with speculation, personally I think it will be a 17'' laptop if AW is making the "All powerful" claim, it would be hard to fit the best and most powerful new tech. in a 15'' laptop without having all the overheating issues they had with the m15x, but the might mean "All powerful" 15 inch laptop. Now I'm over thinking it and that's exactly what AW wants fueling peoples imagination with false hope.
I guess we will just have to wait until this is actually released, but still it has piqued my interest. -
I'm guessing their next 15" system will be Calpella based. Probably released before the holiday season.
-
Rumors are that Calpella will only be releasing 45-nm quad-cores this summer and 32-nm duals won't be out until Q1 2010.
It might not be in June but a new 15" is almost certain. If it's released this year though it will most likely be Monty. -
And the rumor has it that the new quad will be clocked at lower clock than current quads...
2.0 GHz-$1054
1.73 GHz-$546
1.60 GHz-$364 -
me want 15"...15" good...15" portable
-
1 step when all 4 cores are under load.
4 steps when 2 cores are under load.
7 steps when a single core is under load.
Not sure if the steps are half multipliers or whole multipliers. -
If AW wanted to save some money, they can just prolong the M15X series for a few months and just add a Nvidia GTX 280M. I hope this helps. God Bless
-
280m in the m15x? you wish...
-
Matthew 7:7 says: "Ask, and it shall be given you......." -
Make them like tumbleweed, O my God,
like chaff before the wind
As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, -
-
-
lol, I wish I knew scripture well enough to make amazing connections like that
But yeah, seriously, fire would be the result. -
maybe not a 280 but a 260m would be nice in the m15x
-
Mobility HD 4860 would work well in a 15".
-
and thus the froms had transformed into church yay

Great job on the 280 install JDELUNA!
-
I have faith in God's ability to build a 15" laptop that can run a GT280M without melting....it's man's ability I don't believe in.
-
