ive tried to google info on this and havent been to succesful at finding answers. Mainly have come upon stuff about the 4870 desktop version. I know dell has their little bargraph thing on the M17x configuration page showing the 4870s being better.

Realistically all settings high at 1920x1200. To show off the game everything on very high :).

Oh and you need to fix your sig since WUXGA is 1920x1200 :).

At 1900x1200 with everything maxed. Wont there be a lot of slowdown with that even with these cards?

With everything Maxxed yes , on high no . theres a couple levels in the game where optimization gos out the window and you may have to tinker with those to get the best framerates but overall it should run amazingly well on high .

Well my friend, I did spend more then what I originally thought I would for this fantastic machine. However, I got what I thought was a decent deal from the manager. That and I figured that I might as well go almost all out once I passed a certain point.

Don't even mention optimization. Before it used to be my best friend, but now it thinks I have more than I actually do. It set my game of Shift to stutter at 20-30 FPS. That is before that game stopped working completely :(

As for games to show off, you should try Far Cry 2. It's an immensely fun game. I know I keep going on about it but I wouldn't if I didn't love it. The graphics are amazing and the fire is fun to play with :D

I actually have Crysis and Warhead sitting there, not installed yet. Just a bunch of racing games and Far Cry.

Funny you mentioned that game because I was just watching a youtube video with an M17x owner playing it. I appreciate the suggestion. im mainly into FPS games. However, wouldnt rule out trying other kinds of games.

    Fernando de Noronha.

It obviously depends on what you want... RJ (Rio de Janeiro) is a nice city if you want party's, chick's and a beautiful city but i don't like ppl from RJ, lying to tourists is like a sport there lol.

Fernando de Noronha isn't your place if you want some night activity but it's so damn beautiful :D
