Hey, just as title says, I'm aware its old tech. Not ddr5 which will probably come with allpowerful, or even on par with m17. But if i was wanted to get one customized, is there any way. Besides ebay/craigslist to purchase one, and these forums of course.

I just love the way the m17x looks. Sorry to say i just love the bells and whistles, makes me enjoy the laptop experience. Plus the graphic cards are still strong for over a year old, CPU is fine, and i really just like the model. If i cant get a m17x. I will most likely grab a m17 or cheap allpowerful, whatever it is.

Try the international sites, maybe its still there. I got my m17x in Dec. Its a dream. A Marine on my team purchased a m17 with similiar specs as my m17x but with crossfire ATI of cource. The m17 did put up better 3d scores. But my SLI X played Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Far Cry 2 and Fall out 3 better. The x might be a year older. But DDR3 and 5 arent that much faster, and 9800gt is a beast. If you can find the X get it!!!!

ummm my farcry2 benchmark is higher then yours.(see sig) crysis doesn't support crossfire. and it stilll plays it on max. i didn't install cod4 yet. and fallout i max it out and get over 60fps.(havent tried it in a while.

are you talking about ddr3 vs ddr5 on the 4870 vs 3870??
