    Hello,

Im trying to play SW Battlefront Beta. It requires at least 355 driver version while I have 353 and I can' update it as it will destroy my display (Alienware and Clevo bricking bug)

Is there any way to fake display driver version? I even hex edited nvapi64.dll and renamed it to nvapi63.dll then edited hard-names in battlefront.exe. Checked in Process Monitor and indeed it uses my modified dll with hexed values but it still shows driver version error so it has to be in some other place.

    Checked whole registry, nothing changes.

Now tried to remove the check with OllyDBG but executable is 64bit... I don't have IDA64 Pro installed :(

    Any ideas?

    Thanks and Regards

Hey bro. Does the game refuse to launch, or does it only give you an error message suggesting the new driver? I ask because BF4 using to whine and moan about me not using the recommended driver, but it would still run even though I chose to ignore their suggestion.

Would the attached help? Zip file includes profile you are looking for and some others also.

Is the bricking issue mentioned on the Dell forums? I couldn't find it there.

I have not tested these drivers, BUT - I will note that 355.XX+ has display issues of various kinds, on desktop and mobile. SO - I suspect the culprit lies within....
I have a HP LP3065 that refuses to work with these drivers. Works with all earlier drivers, and all other videocards. AMD included. And Ive googled it enough to find out tons of people reporting issues with 355.XX drivers and their desktop monitors... so, caution with your laptop's LCD too.

I mean, earlier this year they were releasing drivers like rabbits having releasing pups. Then it all slowed down. alot. Slowed down right when there were issues. and since - no new driver, only updates to the 355.XX (like new game profiles and customizations etc..)

I think the problem is, these new drivers for all 900 series are like vampires to legacy hardware.

    Hey

Thanks for the profiles. They are valuable for other games but this game just refuses to launch
