Im having a problem where The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is crashing randomly about 15 minutes into gameplay.

    Alienware M17
Dual ATI HD 3870 with E-Wrecked's 9.1 installed
    4GB DDR3 RAM

I've tried running in XP comp mode, as an admin, turning off desktop compilation, clean booting, internet connection disabled, Norton disabled, installing manually in XP comp mode, with and without Oblivion patches (official and unofficial), turning of User Accounts, and also with and without mods installed. NOTHING

I was wondering if anybody is running the game just fine with a similar system and the same drivers

I have the same problem. If you disable the catalyst AI in the CCC it goes away. I think there is a problem with crossfire support in that game. The game still runs perfect maxed out on one 3870. Give it a go.

I believe this worked. I played one game for about 28 minutes, it only crashed when I tried to load a game while I was playing. Then I played another for 43 minutes...only crashing when I exited. So far so good. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
