I bought the m15x with the screen that only supports 1440x900 resolution. I use my 24" monitor when I really need the space to work on.

Anyways here's a little demo of me playing some games, while the m15x was hooked up to the 24" dell.

the m15x 1440 x 900 doesnt only support 1440 x 900. you can set it to other resolutions. it looks best at 1440 x 900 because that is its native resolution.

true. I mean like When I need to work with photoshop or some other program that requires large amount of screen realestate I use my 24" dell monitor so I can use 1920x1200 resolution. Which is the native resolution for the 24" screen.

Does anyone know where I can get an adapter for the m15x's HDMI output to a standard VGA (HD15) connector?

I searched this forum and the entire internets with no luck, so maybe something like this doesn't exist....

    I tried:
HD15 (and VGA) female to HDMI male adapter and I can't find anything that stands out.

Do I have to buy/use 2 adapters? HD15 female to DVI male and a DVI female to HDMI male...

    Thanks,
    KShub

It does exist... but its not a simple adapter, but rather a special decoder that will allow the authentication of your HDMI output into a VGA input as it was an HDMI input. Something like that...

    There you go:

VGA is analog, HDMI is digital. you'll need a converter. that hdfury link milcs posted should do the trick.

sweet thanks guys....I think I'm just going to get a DVI cable for my monitor, it has the connector on the back and then a DVI to HDMI adapter, that should work too, right?

Nice one mate.. What settings are you running Grid at? Totally maxed out as well?

I was thinking about getting Grid or GTR Evo.. but went for Crysis Warhead in the end.

I'm using the exact same setup.

In case you didn't know though... if you disable the 3d mirroring to the m15x LCD and use "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration - Single display performance mode", you'll get a boost to your graphics performance and increased fps.

    Nice vid though.
