I'm about to order my mx11 but, was wondering if i should get gobi broadband for at&t.

I already have iphone 3g data service, and want to share the internet by using the sim card from iphone, can anyone tell me if its doable? without too much trouble?

I would also like to know this!
I haven't seen it answered anywhere, but remember hearing something about AT&T not working right with it.. (i could be mixing that up with something else though)
I went ahead and got the Gobi. Kind of regret it..

Please do not discuss anything which violates the EULA of a product. This includes Apple's iPhone.

Questions, PM me or any other mod. Thanks.

I'd advise against that if you don't want to waste to your time.

I'll send you (OP) a PM in sec. Apparently iphone tethering discussion is illegal, but a huge thread who owns which weapon (!!) is not

Why is iphone tethering illegal ? is this a AT&T violation or something, because up here north of 49 we can tether for free, its offered by our service provider at no charge. I just plugin my iphone in via usb then go into settings on the iphone and switch tethering on :D

Anyways the sim card from an iphone will not work ceowolf (member here) tried and it does not work.

Seeing how the WWAN option is not offered here in Canada :(, I am going to either tether off of my phone, or I called my service provider and they offer mobile usb sticks, which I can purchase for $175 no contract. Then pay the $5 for another sim card that they will put my current 6GB data plan on it to use with the mobile stick (I would only do this if I don't want to carry around my iphone cord etc...)

its not illeagal in the UK.

You need the wwan card, and it looks like its BIOS locked as my Sierra Wireless card won't work with it. Going to try a Dell Ericsson based one tomorrow (5530).
