I been waiting to get an mx 17 almost a year now and upset about no blu-ray drive option any more but it did bring the price down from 3,600 which I like a lot. How ever is there anything similar to an mx17 with out the high price tag? I am more into multimedia than games. I am looking for 17" screen and I like the bells and whistles like lighted keyboard, built in camera, that type of stuff. I am not big into gaming but I do like to play scared from time to time and Need to make sure it will handle new final fantasy 13 when ever it comes out. Not into multiplayer or much online games so I do not need the top graphic out there . I think I will be happy with the dual 260. I am even willing to get a dual instead of a quad. Making these changes and no blu-ray will drop from 3,600 to 2,800 but was looking for info, if there is another system that is similar to the bells and whistles but not the heavy price tag. Hopefully there will have a sell or a good coupon at the 1st of the year then I can go ahead and place the order.

Sure, look in the NBR marketplace. ;)

You may also want to put this in the "Which notebook should I buy" section.

IMO, not for a laptop. Besides I posted both my systems in the marketplace. Hoping to sell one of them instead of having one collect dust. If the OP is interested they can PM me.

Thanks for the info 17" or bigger is fine and for me bigger is better for laptop also. How ever it seems like m98nu comes out to around the same price or even more. Trying to find a little cheaper, I still think 2,800 is still A little to much but i have cut a lot of things off from the original 3,600 price tag.
