Anyway to turn off the crazy volume slider, but keep the other touch buttons?

Since I can control the volume through windows I have no problem doing it that way. I would just delete the OSD driver to control just the volume. but with this change I can't use the stealth feature. And since there seems to be no way to enable/disable the stealth feature without the OSD driver, I don't see what I can do.

I won my laptop by playing in a videogame tournament recently and learned that I have no warranty, so sending it for repairs is not an option. When I called I couldn't even get past the main call center because I "am not listed under the account". I would gladly pay $100-$200 in repairs to get this thing fixed.

Are there any custom drivers out there that disable the volume slider?

    Thanks in advance!

Volume slider is NOT controlled by OSD... OSD just react to hardware events raised by Volume slider... even if you completely uninstall the OSD you can still control volume its just that there will not be any popups...

So its no way around that I could see so far... instead a custom driver that will filter out all hardware events for volume change... I dont think anyone will want that :)
