So I've been playing with this tool a Fox I know recommended called HRC.
    Basically it's a pixel/monitor refresh OCer.

Anyway, I am a Vsync kind of guy and can't believe it's not possible to Vsync custom refresh rates like 75/85hz etc outside of in-game menu support. Since I've got my screen OCed to 85hz I want to make the most of it, but not without my Vsync

Has anyone had any experience or luck getting Vsync to work at odd refresh rates other that in games that support it?

Techinically, to make it work I should be able to
    • Turn off In-game Vsync
    • Then activate Vsync though Nvidia Control Panel to sync my *native refresh rate (ie 85Hz)

Any idea's or light on the subject would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm... don't have a clue. I don't use vsync, so I have never attempted to use it with odd refresh rates. Well, I use vsync with Skyrim because it misbehaves for me without it, but other than that I don't use it.

A side note does the OCer work with all monitors or Strickly with your laptop monitor. Anyway best of luck.

I used the Nvidia panel to go up to 120hz on my old M15x, and when playing Ys OoF with Vsync enabled (ingame) it locked at 120fps, so I guess it should work on other games too. Maybe its the tool or the game?

It works with all monitors but they will individually have their own limits.

    Anyone else with any idea's?

Cheers Brother Fox. I've been digging a lot of work by a really talented artist Dave Rapoza. The guy does a bit of everything but some of his darker menacing stuff is really awesome

Hardly ever, in fact... it's way too slow and boring to hold my interest. Although, I did find the crazy amount extra overhead that can be generated by the ENB mods were fun to play with, until I got bored again, with the game itself. Its look really pretty, but so does that fresh coat of paint that needs time to dry. ;)

A couple of my adult kids are totally addicted to it though... even speak the Dovahzul language. Yeah, go figure... The Unofficial Guide to the Dragon Language of Skyrim

Well, they don't get away with calling dad a geek any more, LOL.
