I just got another R2 on yesterday and I could have sworn that when I started a new game on BC2, I was getting between 50 to 60 FPS at 1920 x 1200 and all settings on high. Now when I went to play today, I am only getting between 25 to 40 FPS and that's with everything on medium. Playing on high now gives me FPS between 20 and 30. I did install the windows updates but I don't think that would be the culprit.
Does anyone have any idea how I can correct this problem? I know I am not going crazy. I am using the original Dell drivers and the only programs I have loaded are hwmonitor, gpu-z, and fraps. The only hardware I have installed is a G35, G13, and a sidewinder X8. I have already checked to see that CF is enabled. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction because this really has me stumped. I'm hoping someone with the same game and a similar config can chime in.

Check if you're in Stealth mode, if your Windows power profile is set to maximum performance, if PowerPlay is enabled and set to Maximum Performance, verify that Crossfire is enabled and working properly, if you have changed some Catalyst settings (like higher FSAA/Anisotropic filtering levels, etc.) since the last time it ran fine. Also, try to install the latest Catalyst drivers for your video card (try Mobility Catalyst 10.5, for example).

Hell yea!!! That's why I love coming to this board. For one, I was on stealth mode (didn't realize the R2 had stealth mode since it did not have the 9400 like my R1 before), and I did not have powerplay enabled. After fiddling with these settings, I know have silky smooth gameplay. Now I just have to find a way to disable stealth mode forever since I am always near a outlet when I use this thing. Thanks guys for all your help!!!!

To disable it permanently you can go into the bios and change the settings or, I think you can uninstall it. -
Wheres the thing to click to turn on the crossfire button to make it visible in games?
