You guys will always have a special place in my heart! Afterall it's not everyone in the world that can say "I owned an Alienware!". Obviously I also owned a hand full of problems... but that brought me close to all of you!

But... if you wouldn't mind having a look to the points mentioned on post 1 of this thread and answering to those here, that would be great and would give us a "concentrated" source of information.

Where are you at, Ry? I'm up in Flagstaff. I wanted to go to Phoenix and pick mine up also... mine sat down there all last weekend.

Roswell e-mailed me back a few minutes ago, it's being shipped to me tomorrow, but they don't know why it was in Phase 8 for six days (it's still listed as Phase 8 on the Order Status page). So I'm thinking next week hopefully?

 

It's gonna be tight, Livre... PCMW just called to express their apologies for the delay, refunded a portion of my shipping, and promised to have it sent out by Thursday, overnighted to me... we'll see

 

This is absolutely hilarious. Laptop twins? I think you're definately going to beat me, as it's going to take 3-5 days to get here, not to mention Canada Day on the 1st which means no deliveries that day.

 

Well, whether or not they get it out by tomorrow remains to be seen. But they did upgrade me to overnight, and I don't have Canada Day to contend with.

 

At least I'll be getting delicious Beaver Tails and other yummy food downtown. Not to mention the concerts and fireworks!

 

Have you both thought of names for your new babies yet?

 

Haha, I hadn't thought of it yet. But I name all my computers after characters from books, so we'll see.

Livre, are you going to the Canada Day celebrations up on the hill? Gonna be huge! I think one of my friends is managing one of the Beavertails vendors for some of the event. Maybe I'll see you there.

 

I do love people talking about stuff... but this thread's purpose is really to be informative and useful. And even though I love Canada's day and Beavers... It's taking away the point of this thread.

I think it's really a serious issue that M15x keep being shipped with the exact same problems as in the beggining and nothing serious is being done regarding fixing problems that are quite common. This is something that everyone should be really worried about (if you own or plan to own an M15x).

 

I just read about Etol's horrible clicking sound going away mysteriously. That's some good news to a bad start.
