I am looking to see if anybody has had any luck using their Area 51m with a Valve Index. I hooked my buddies up to Area 51m recently and got the dreaded HDCP. Question is, is this an issue with every Area 51m, or just some of them (even if that means the vast majority).

It looks like some people have found success by rolling back their drivers, but at this point the "working" drivers are well over a year old and that's not a solution I am willing to resort to. Thing is, that particular solution suggests that the Index should in theory be able to work if the right parties work on finding a solution...is that right?

If no one has a valve index then they really can't answer your question. This is probably one of those google is your best friend scenarios...

I have tried google. There is nothing but owners that get the HDCP error.

I guess we should all rush out and buy an index to troubleshoot for you.

Sorry for the poor customer service I'll give you a refund for all the money you paid for the tech support.

Dude what is with you guys and this forum? Your retorts are similar to something a rebellious teen would come up with. I have been asking about the index for over a year on here and no one has responded. I am trying to get some responses, some extra information before I buy it. Thats all I was saying.

Iv been a member on this forum since the early 2000s. I owned some of the first alienware products ever produced. I am an enthusiast who loves laptops, that is why Im here. Im not some random troll trolling you.

It was the way you worded it. "Nobody bothered replying", not that nobody seems to have one. Sorry for my response it was clearly a misinterpretation of what you were saying.

We are all here for the same reason because we love tech and our devices.
