I'm considering an M15x notebook with 4GB of memory. Anybody got one of these bad dogs yet with 4GB?

Does Vista really give you access to all of the 4GB? My 4GB desktop - Area51 7500 - only gave me access to 2.7 - Yes TWO POINT SEVEN - GB out of the 4GB when it was running an x86 OS. Big support post on the Alienware site talks about the PCI memory space yadda yadda yadda and the Windows low memory space yadda yadda... Anyway...

I was wondering if I need to plan on running x64 on a new M15x notebook to get use of all 4GB or whether they have fixed that.

    Thanks a pile,
    windy

I responded, in detail, to your other posting in my thread.

Thanks... I saw it. 3.1 out of 4 isn't bad and it sounds like the HW is not in the way of support later on. Thanks,
