    Dears,

    Can anyone advise me how & where i can find the compatible power supply unit for my laptop. I am not getting any response from alienware so I am kinda stuck now :(

    Still no luck on my side here as well. Called alienware this morning, they can sell but I have to give credit card number to them on phone. I am located in saudia and my bank doesn't accept transactions done outside the country. So I am kinda stuck here :/

    I'm sure you can use the newer M17x-R1/R2 PSUs if the connectors are the same. Even if they provide more W than your system requires it's gonna still work fine. You can even go further and mod the connector, -remove it from your old PSU and adjust to any other laptop PSU with enough output.

    Is it OK to use a 240W power supply for my Area-51 M17x, previous psu is 230W?
