Hi all,
I have spent ages tring to find a bios update for my m17x-r1, I've searched the forums, googled the net, and can't find it anywhere.
I bought this laptop off my friend, who I cannont contact for the my hive login, so I'm kinda on my own.
If anyone else has one of these laptops and can get me the latest bios update it would be much appreciated.
I'm also trying to upgrade the firmware on my bd-rom drive. It's an optiarc 5500a, I've downloaded the firmware from the sony website, but when I try and install it, it says the drive could not be located correctly. Doh.
Any help with these issues would be much appreciated!!!

Firmware, no clue. Sorry -
I'm hoping that this bios update might fix the BD Rom problems. AW Tech support suggested it, I could get them to talk a little but they wouldn't do much without the original purchase details.
Thanks for your help,
Much appreciated
Zach.
