Ok after spending 6 hours on this stupid problem after I installed Windows 7 on my m15x NOT M15x I ended up installing all the drivers keyboard lights did not work. I ended up installing the Vista 64 version of CC and all lights came back on and are working!

    Steps I followed are here:
    http://4help.alienware.com/cgi-bin/...F90ZXh0PW0xNXggd2luZG93cyA3&p_li=&p_topview=1

Command Center I installed is here:

Thanks for all the posts on this site on how this is done it did help alot!

I believe the Keyboard lights will not work at first, STOP, Take a DEEP BREATH, and then build a profile a new profile and then your keyboard should work again. :D

Note: Please extract the Zip file with the Registry fix to enable the AlienFx Keyboard. Run the file and after applying it, restart the computer. When the system starts up again, open the AlienFx software, close the current theme and create a new theme.

**DO NOT TAKE THAT LAST STEP LIGHTLY** And as I've learned you must follow all instructions from Alienware to a T. IF you do not you will have problems. For instance I moved all those drivers onto a flash drive and then installed them in a random order. What happened? Well the volume buttons and top functions wont work properly.
