This is annoying but I can't understand why typing on MS word under Stealth Mode is lagging. Just to type a simple paper I have to turn off stealth mode to reduce the lag while typing. When I'm in stealth mode and I type the letters come in lagging behind. I don't find myself to be a real fast typer just an average to fast typer. But isn't this kind of absurd? Do you mean to say that I can really only use stealth mode to watch a simple video or browse the internet? But not even type a word document using MS Office 2007? The keyboard lag the system has under windows 7 is just problamatic, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

What kind of ECU do you have? How much RAM do you have? How many programs are running in the back ground?

Search MSCONFIG and choose what programs you want to trun on when you want. Usualy Office, Itunes, Wmedia player, Firefox, IM etc turn themselves on automaticly when you instal them unless you go to advance options when instaling.

Use MSCONFIG and your slow down in stealth mode should stop.

I'm typing this while in stealth mode and there isn't any lagging nor in Open office. Are you running anything else in the background such as a scan or etc...?

All I know is that I shut off Office and Viola, no more lag, so yea shutting of stealth can be a quick solutions to my problem, but I think USMC might be right I need to reduce the number of applications I have running in the background I think my Anti Virus could be hogging up my limited CPU power while running on stealth.

    I agree loki,

Open up task manager (start, run, taskmgr, or alt+ctrl+del and ctrl+t) and see what's occupying so much of the CPU, it might be a sister process to Office, or an antivirus live scan that's analysing all of your keystrokes for viruses... you might have to tweak some settings to make sure it doesn't do that, or replace your AV software... either way, taskman will show you what's using so much CPU, and you can narrow it down from there.

    I love taskmgr.
