    I've heard that it had overheating and hinges issues like they creak and become loose.

    I want to know if it has been fixed yet? :)

    the hinges don't explode as much any more it would seem

    You posted a thread earlier asking about problems with the Dell XPS 1730. Now you are posting one on the m15x. If you are in a toss up between the two, I would stick with the Dell XPS 1730. You can get more for your money with the Dell, not to mention you can't get Dual 9800GT SLI in the Alienware, AND the Dell just had a big price drop. Either way, they are both rather outdated, but still get the job done :)

    I'm thinking of getting the Area-51 m15x because it has better mobility than the M1730 since I will be carrying my notebook around a lot. :)
