Hi, about a month ago i bought a Area-51® m9750, and its been running great since. well... up until my cat knocked over a glass of soda onto the keyboard. I quickly tried to save it by shutting everything off as quickly as possible and trying to drain the soda out also. Here's the aftermath, Esc key doesn't work and most of my keys are sticky and slow even after Ive cleaned it over and over. I'm wondering what i should do, I'm willing to pay for a new keyboard but don't know where to find one. Should i try to send it in? My sister is an electrical engineer and offered to fix and clean everything if i can find the replacement parts. Any suggestions would be great thanks -kyle

Give Roswell a call, or PM Alienware-Armando/James. It's possible for them to send in a new keyboard if you, or someone you know, can install it successfully. Otherwise, you'll probably have to send it in.

I had to replace my m9750 keyboard after spilling milk on it, leading to the failure on some keys (half the letters and some Control keys). Gave a call to Alienware Belgium, gave my IDs, they made sure my guarantee was still available and sent me a new keyboard, free of charge. Received it after around 3 working days.
They also sent me a mail which was redirecting me to their support website. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow; didn't need anything else other than a small screwdriver. No trouble taking the old keyboard out and putting the new one.
They didn't claim the old keyboard.

    guide is here.

I'm sure AW will sell you one, just call them. If regular TS hassles you about it, call Roswell, They'll sort you out.

If you're buying it, I'm sure they don't care what you do with it. so no worries. if you have a warranty, I have no idea whether this would be covered. what I will say is: when you take off the keyboard, look for any soda ;)

Be advised, accidental damage is not covered under warranty. Hopefully other components were not damaged and is just the keyboard, system will be up and running with the new one. You may call customer service dept to purchase a new keyboard.

    Thank you.

I am a brand new user that would love to order a replacement keyboard for my M9750 from Alienware but am having massive issues getting to the right person. I keep getting transferred to DELL and they do not have it. Armando, do you know who I should talk to? Can you help? I can't figure out how to PM people (n00b I know) so I am hoping you read this.
