Hi, brand new to the forum and very glad i found it. Not sure if i should have made a new thread for this, so if it needs to be merged or somthing then by all means go ahead, but i'm a bit frustrated at the moment because i can't be a part of the whole Win 7 beta thing... I'm fairly tech savvy, and obviously my IT guy is very savvy however...

I downloaded the Windows 7 beta, partioned off 100gig of my terrabyte drive to accomodate the install ...i only needed 16gig free but figured 100 would be better.
The install went fine for the most part but it hung on the "windows installing" for over an hour and a half..so i rebooted and rolled the install back reformatted the partition and tried again. Once again it happened and once again i started from scratch.

Anyway, help from anyone who may have already trouble shot this problem..ie. should i disable something on my laptop prior to trying the install etc?

sounds like a software problem... i'd suggest re-downloading the beta, burning it to a new non-RW disc at a low burn speed, and then trying to install again.

    I agree with whizoo!

I had this problem with the Beta Version of Vista64bit

If you have an other roling reburn W7 Beta may be this can also solve the problem or did you checked the W7 DVD after burning?

    Greetings
    Julian

    I had the same problem..

I think it has something to do with JMB36X Driver..
it has some problems reading some files, installed it on my USB pen (Patriot 32 Gb) and went smooth..

    ( Running 64 Bit Windows 7 )
