What settings are you all using on your m9750s on Assassin's Creed. I am playing at 1440x900 and everything max, but shadows on 2/3. It runs at like 17-20 FPS Constant, but I feel like I should be getting a lot more. Game runs smooth though even though its so low. Should I use nHancer to set it to AF2 or SFR? Using Dual 7950s and the T7200 2.0GHz.

on lower ress and everything on low, DX10 is faster (which i dont think you want to play on lol..) 2nd thing is i think your FPS is quite low.. i'm getting 30-35FPS??? the 174.74 made a big difference for me for that game, i recommend you use it and you will be like OMG :D

EDIT: forgot to mention, i have your same exact specs

Thanks for the advice I will try it out. Game is great though. I haven't gotten to far into it, but it seems like it will be a good one. A friend of mine has it for the Xbox 360 and I saw him play it a lot. It seemed amazing, but it does get repetitive. I think its worth it though.

this is one of the most demanding games with very high requiments. i think you fps is correct. try lowering the settings on things that dont matter that much.

I've got the dual 8700s and i must say im quite suprised with the performance change newer drivers made.

Previously i was averaging 20fps with 174.31 drivers

However when i upgraded to 174.82, performance increased dramatically.

I play on 1360x768 (Mainly because on all other resolutions, including native, i get black horizontal lines of varying thickness on the top and bottom of the screen - like the ones in widescreen movies)

All other settings on max, including multisapling.

In crowded areas fps varies from a bottom limit of 25 to a maximum of around 35.

In less populated areas, like the temple in the very beginning, it goes up to 50 fps.

    This is without overclock.

Definately recommend these drivers for 8700 owners.

Just a question, do you guys get any performance difference, in switching between the sli profiles? As i get the same framerates in every different setting.

Edit: A slight system overclock, via clockgen (t7200 @ 2.16) yields a 4fps bonus, not much but the framerate becomes more stable and I havent experienced any heat issues, running the game around 2 hours straight. Mind you that was with my desktop res set @ native (1920x1200), aero on, antivirus on, skype on, gg client on, sidebar on. For those of you looking for max performance i guess you could increase framerates even further with slight optimisations.
