I am the owner of an Alienware m15x laptop... I would like to state that I am not the greatest with the technical aspects of computers lol.

I am aware that with windows 7 64 bit ultimate(which I installed from vista) that multitouch (or at least 2 finger scrolling is available). However, I do not have this function on my laptop after the switch. I also can't seem to turn off my touchpad (the lights turn off, but it always works. Annoying while I game).

I attempted to download the drivers, but I'm not sure on which to download. Any assistance in rectifying these issues would be appreciated =D. Also, please keep in mind that I'm not very good at this, and will probably require a step by step lol.

try turn it back on then off again. after that it should stay off untill the next time you reboot. I had this problem when i uninstalled the dell touchpad driver.

I've turned it off multiple times since installing.... Not the issue =/... I belive the issue is driver based, I just don't know which ones to get or where to get them. I could be mistaken of course.

Are you using the synaptics driver from here?
    If not - try it.

Already using a synpatics driver... When I download it, it says: There are no files to download, please go to Drivers and Downloads to select file(s). No idea where this is or what to do.

i just have a quick question for you, i thought the win 7 multi touch only active for a laptop/pc that have multi touch enable, now does the m15x support multi touch?. and i have a similar problem with the touch pad like you but i have the new M15x. all i actually did was went on dell website and redownload the drivers for the touch pad or you can use the alien respawn disk and try to reinstall the driver,, but i found that the dell website driver seem to work great for me
