The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

In addition to my random shut downs, I'm getting static with my audio. I thought I should just post a new thread since it's a different issue. Sry if all I've been doing is asking for help but I'm not really very tech savvy.
Anyone's been getting this static? I've upgraded my driver to the latest one on the dell website and am running windows 7.

Sorry to hear you are having issues Vince. Also, never apologize for asking a question - there is nothing wrong with that - especially around the AW forum.

As Aikimox mentioned, the audio issue is a widespread issue which a large group of users are seeing. Some do not. Please use the link Aikimox posted - its the best place for this (audio stuttering) and questions/findings/comments need to be posted there.

Have you performed a Respawn? The random shutdown may very well be caused by some form of corruption to the OS. Not the first time I have seen it. If you haven't tried a Respawn or clean install, should consider it.
